1. Introduction
Our commitment to a safe start and use of SCOOBER services comes with a set of obligations and expectations from owners and walkers/sitters, in order to provide the best possible experience for pets and of course users of the SCOOBER platform.
By booking a pet walking or sitting service through our website, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before using our services. Any failure to comply with the rules or waiver will result in access to the platform being disabled.
2. Services we offer:

Our platform aims to connect customers who need any of the services and those who provide them.
Details of the services provided will be pre-arranged through your booking, and any specific requests or instructions must be disclosed at that time in the Additional Comments box.
3. Booking, Payment and Refunds
All services must be booked in advance through our website or through direct communication.
Full payment is due at the time of booking, depending on the service selected.
Prices for services are clearly stated on our website and are subject to change without notice. Any price changes will be communicated to you prior to booking.
Cancellations made 48 hours prior to the scheduled service are eligible for a 100% refund. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the service may not be refundable.
4. Client Responsibilities
Clients must ensure that their pet’s health, needs and behavior are fully disclosed to us at the time of booking.
Clients should provide detailed instructions for any care needs (feeding, medication, special requests) and emergency contact information for their pets.
Pets must be up-to-date with vaccinations in accordance with veterinary institution regulations. Proof of vaccination may be requested prior to service.
It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that the pet is properly prepared to receive our team (i.e. leash, collar, food, medication).
If you are booking a pet walking service, it is important that your first meeting with the walker is in person so that the pet feels more secure.
It is also the client’s responsibility to communicate directly with the SCOOBER team, otherwise if private communication is made with the walker/sitter, both parties will be immediately removed from the platform.
Our ultimate goal is for you to feel safe and trust our vetted team.
5. Emergencies
In the event of an emergency, we will make every effort to contact you immediately. If we are unable to reach you, we may request veterinary care for your pet at your expense. By reviewing these Terms, you authorize us to make these decisions if necessary.
6. Security and Access to Property
For the sitter:
Depending on the service in question, it is important to observe the following details. During the pet walking service, the pet can be handed over by the client or, under specific instructions, without his presence, you personally take it over. The entire walk takes place strictly on a leash, which is put on/taken off exclusively in the pet’s home. If the client is not present, the walker is only obliged to leave the pet, without any retention or movement around the home. Water or food replenishment is permissible only at the client’s request.
The walker is obliged to send a photo of the pet to the SCOOBER team upon successful completion of the walk (which will of course be delivered to the client).
Because we care for and respect our environment, after defecation, the feces are neatly collected by the walker and thrown in a designated place. During the performance of any of the services, the walker/sitter is obliged to approach the pet with extreme care, which means not making close and direct face-to-face contact with the pet (kissing) in order to protect themselves from its unpredictable reactions.
If the walker notices any atypical behavior, discomfort and general depression of the pet, they are obliged to immediately contact the SCOOBER team.
Most importantly, during the walk, the focus and attention is completely oriented towards the pet and no additional distractions are allowed that could jeopardize its safety.
When it comes to the services of care and short visits, which involve a few hours of presence of the walker in the owner’s home, it is expected to be treated with maximum respect and attention and to act according to the client’s instructions. When leaving, the home is left exactly as it was found.
It is the responsibility of the walker/sitter to communicate directly with the SCOOBER team, otherwise if private communication with the client occurs, both parties will be immediately removed from the platform.
For the client:
It is important to us that you, as the users of our services, feel as safe as possible, and that is why we remind you of the following. In order to provide you with our services, it is necessary for you as clients to provide access to your property (e.g. home keys, alarm codes, gate codes), while our team of caregivers receives all instructions through us, and it is important for you to accurately and precisely determine the steps and rules for entering the home when booking the service. If you want and need it, we also offer lockboxes in which you can leave your home keys. In addition, you choose the safest place to place them and create a password for it.
If access cannot be provided for any reason, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the service.
When it comes to the services of care and short visits, it is expected that the walker’s basic needs (water, coffee, toilet) are provided and met, and everything that clients consider as unnecessary as a room is their right, and our recommendation at the same time, to be locked.
Your task, which applies to all four types of services, is to provide food and water for the pet, which will be marked as being for the pet, which is a guarantee that it is safe and of high quality.
Our ultimate goal is for you to feel safe and trust our proven team.
7. Care
We want the experiences through using the SCOOBER platform to be successful and pleasant for both the caregivers and the clients, and that is why we try to pay attention to all the details and trifles to avoid even the slightest inconvenience. The relationship towards the clients’ home is always with maximum attention and respect. While the owner is obliged to give precise instructions so that the walker can easily perform his task.
8. Safety
Punctuality in performing the services is of great importance for both parties. On the part of the walker, it is his obligation to properly allocate his time so that there is no delay in the scheduled appointment, because this further entails other problems, especially if there are several walks in a row. The same is expected from the owners. If the walker does not show up at the scheduled appointment, SCOOBER will try to find a replacement for him. In the event that there is no replacement, the owner receives a full refund for the service he booked.
9. Pet Behavior
We reserve the right to refuse service to pets that show aggressive or dangerous behavior towards our staff, other pets or the public. We may terminate the service at any time if a pet becomes too aggressive or dangerous during the walk or care.
10. Photography and Social Media
With your permission, we may take photographs of your pet during the service. These photographs may be shared on our website, social media or promotional materials. If you do not wish for photographs of your pet to be used, please notify us in writing.
11. Termination of Service
We reserve the right to terminate the services at any time, including but not limited to: If the customer’s pet poses a risk to our staff or other pets.
If payment issues arise or the terms are not met.
If the customer violates any of the Terms set forth herein.
12. Privacy and Data Protection
We take your privacy seriously. All personal and pet-related data collected during the booking process will be used solely for the purpose of providing the agreed services. We will not share your information with third parties without your consent, unless required for legal compliance. All details are extensively and in detail covered in the Privacy Policy section of our website.
13. Liability
By using the services provided by SCOOBER, you are aware that the services of walking/sitting your pet are not without risks, which may include causing material and immaterial damage, both to the pet and/or your home, and to the walker/sitter.
By accepting these Terms, you are aware and agree that the SCOOBER team is not responsible for any damage caused to the walker/sitter and/or third parties by the pet, during the provision of the services.
By accepting these Terms, you are aware and agree that the SCOOBER team is not responsible for any damage caused to the pet during the provision of the services, by the walker/sitter and/or third parties.
By accepting these Terms, you acknowledge and agree that the SCOOBER team is not responsible for any damage caused to your home or pet sitting area during the provision of the service by the walker/sitter and/or third parties.
14. Changes to the Terms
We may modify or update these Terms at any time, and such changes will be posted on our website. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Customers are encouraged to periodically review these Terms to be informed of any updates.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of North Macedonia, and any disputes arising out of these Terms will be resolved in the courts of the Republic of North Macedonia.
